NIRH Action Fund, PAC Endorse 31 Pro-Choice Candidates for New York Offices

List Includes New York Candidates Running for Federal and State-wide Positions Who Have Pledged to Defend Reproductive Freedom

NEW YORK, NY (October 28, 2022) — Less than two weeks before highly consequential midterm elections, the National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH) Action Fund and NIRH Action Fund PAC endorsed 31 candidates to represent New York at the federal and state levels. The candidates are all proud supporters of reproductive freedom, including abortion access, at a time when abortion rights are on the ballot.

“New Yorkers have a historic opportunity to elect leaders who will champion our values and protect our rights to reproductive care,” said NIRH Action Fund and PAC president Andrea Miller. “While New York might be considered an abortion safe haven, the truth is, abortion is on the ballot this election. With anti-abortion extremists running in numerous races, it’s never been more important to elect candidates who will protect and expand reproductive freedom. Now is our chance to use our power and elect those who will fight for our rights every day.”

While the NIRH Action Fund is focused on advancing reproductive freedom on the state and local levels, the organization recognizes the critical role that members of Congress must play in advancing reproductive rights and access to care, especially after the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

About The NIRH Action Fund

The National Institute for Reproductive Health Action Fund (NIRH Action Fund) builds political power for reproductive freedom. We partner with allied groups in states and cities to elect candidates who stand up for everyone’s right to control their reproductive lives, and work with elected officials to protect and advance reproductive rights. Our strategy is to go on the offensive and focus on communities where change is needed, so the fabric of reproductive freedom becomes harder to tear apart.
